Fête de fin d’année Collège

Staging a drama performance has always been part of developing students’ skills on many levels. It is said to broaden understandings in arts education and opens up pathways for hidden talents. It acknowledges our views as teachers on the value of creativity, imagination and innovation and effectively assesses each student’s capabilities to ensure a high level of attainment.
Our understanding of drama and its role in the English curriculum provided students at Lycee Montaigne with avenues to experience academic success, particularly in improving their presentation skills and self-confidence.
Learning that has been ongoing at the “College” level or cycle 4 was translated in an abridged Shakespearean performance on the 27th of June 2018, within the school premises.
Students experienced joy within challenge and demonstrated a meaningful understanding of drama when used in different contexts through an array of languages.
This performance will strongly be remembered with the aim of strengthening the students’ perception of drama education as a lifelong investment in their future endeavors.
